HEADLINER - ‘KPMG follows BTC buy with WoW NFT purchase’
KPMG Canada purchased World Of Women NFT #2681 for 25ETH (approx. $70,000 USD), referring to it as their "first foray into this rapidly growing asset class." The company also minted the ENS domain name kpmgca.eth.
Both these moves show further conviction in the crypto/NFT space just weeks after adding Bitcoin and Ethereum to their corporate treasury.
KPMG is a globally recognised brand providing services to customers worldwide. They offer a range of financial advisory services including risk management. It speaks volumes that global experts on risk management in relation to financial instruments have decided that this NFT is a suitable investment. This represents yet another very positive step forward for NFTs on the whole.

NFT MUSINGS - ‘Community leadership’
You have probably heard about the controversy surrounding the Crypto.Chicks collection over the past couple of weeks. If not, in short, the artist behind the collection was accused of plagiarism.
The artwork that had seemingly been copied was by a female artist from Brazil. The NFT which featured the copied work was in fact not part of the Crypto.Chicks collection, but the earlier Crypto.Chick collection. Note the important absence of the ‘s’ in the latter.
Irrespective, the artist behind both collections is the same person, and the association was enough to see the floor price of both Crypto.Chicks and Crypto.Chick collapse. The issue hit home hard since it had been construed as taking credit for another woman’s work. This flew in the face of the projects core values.
However, despite the negativity in the press and on socials, the community showed impressive resolve, proving it could overcome such an issue with swift and decisive action based on the general collective sentiment.
The team took the following steps, all the while ensuring their actions were in sync with the communities wishes. In doing so they showcased their exemplary leadership qualities.
Sought professional legal advice from the outset
Maintained complete transparency with partnerships/collaborations
Reached out to original artists to find an amicable outcome
Members of the leadership team pulled back on other commitments to focus full time on Crypto.Chicks
Re-organised team and leadership structure
There will be a vote based on ideas put forth by the community regarding the new advisory team and community council
Very active in discord on a daily basis, with frequent announcements
Hosted live Twitter space to field questions from the community
In carrying out the above steps, and keeping a strong and transparent line of communication with the community at large, the team were able to prevent the collections floor price from going into free fall.
The collection has now found a stable floor of around 0.45ETH, and all major collaborations/partnerships have remained intact throughout.
In such a nascent space there’s only a small number of notable leaders. Therefore it’s both important and encouraging to see strong women making such impactful moves, persevering in the face of adversity and leading by example.
When looking for an NFT collection to invest in, it is this type of dedicated and professional team you want at the helm.
Always do your research before investing in any NFT collection. Find out as much as you can about the people steering the ship. It’s these people you’ll rely on in times of trouble.
BIG MOVERS - Collections with impressive stats from the past week

Bored Ape Yacht Club - Having dropped from a high of around 118 Eth, back down to 70 Eth, it has recovered strongly to 85 Eth over the past few days.
CryptoPunks - This blue chip pfp project continues to garner interest and has experienced an uptick of over 100% in sales volume this past week.

TIP OF THE WEEK - OpenSea Wyvern Contract
Following on from last weeks OpenSea contract migration, there still seems to be uncertainty regarding signing the new permissions.
For clarity, you will be required to sign a (rather long) message with the heading ‘Wyvern Exchange Contract’ when you are listing/delisting items on OpenSea.
For safety, you need to ensure you are on ‘opensea.io’ and that it also says ‘opensea.io’ on the permission request prompt, as shown below.
You can also hit the encircled down arrow to get straight to the bottom of the text on the contract.
